Fruit Person of the Year.
In 1962, a motion was proposed by Louis Ryder and seconded by Wilbur Reister that the Michigan Association of Pomesters honor an individual for outstanding service to the horticultural industry.
Since then the Michigan Pomesters board has continued to select an individual who has brought innovation and insight into our tree fruit industry. We are grateful to the women and men that have worked together to see farms improve across the state. Thank you!
